Chicago Rush Arena Football Team:

The team began play in 2001. Former Chicago Bears coach and player Mike Ditka is a co-owner of the team.

Situation:

Curtis was approached to assist in the evolution of the Chicago Rush Arena Football’s visual brand identity and to strengthen its overall brand presence in the market. Curtis needed to distinguish and position Rush as a unique brand in a city saturated with highly competitive sports teams ranging from professional to university levels. In addition, the challenge for Curtis was to educate local sport fans about Arena Football and to convert them into loyal Rush fans.

Solution:

Curtis created a minimalistic creative campaign that accentuated the excitement and speed of the game. Curtis developed an electronic direct marketing campaign for the Rush and generated the highest number of season tickets sold from a single e-blast. The success of Curtis’s intergrated marketing campaign elevated the Rush to the largest single sponsorship in league history with Discover Card.
